David joined Software Kids as a partner in 2007 and oversees all aspects of educational content development, educational standards integration, development of supporting materials for educators, testing and feedback coordination, and relations with educational professionals, institutions and organizations.
An educator himself with experience designing and leading educational games and competitions, David brings a great deal of insight to Software Kids. His keen understanding and perspective of what educators need to succeed and what students find interesting and engaging are critical contributions to the development of Software Kids’ products. David’s contributions assure that all product content is relevant, useful and adoptable.
With over 7 years of experience in education, teaching Language Arts, History, Physical Science, American Literature and Communications, David’s teaching highlights include creating D.C.@G.M.S., a hands-on virtual Washington D.C. experience for Grayslake Middle School and its community which received newspaper and national CNN coverage, serving on a Quality Tools team for curriculum improvement, and acting as an Assistant Head Coach for the Illinois Science Olympiad.
David is a graduate of Loyola University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and attended the university’s Rome Center Campus. He received his M.Ed. from DePaul University, specializing in Teaching and Learning, and a C.A.S. degree from National Louis University in General Administration.
